John Kayes
John Kayes is a 23 year honorably retired and decorated United States Coast Guard veteran with a specialty in Aviation Maintenance Management and flying on the HH-65 Dolphin Rescue Helicopter performing Coast Guard missions with over 900 flight hours. He is presently a full-time employee with the Federal Aviation Administration at the William J Hughes Technical Center in the area of Air Traffic Control Maintenance and Enterprise Portfolio Management.
He has two Master’s degrees one in Business Administration (MBA) from Stockton University and a Master’s of Science (M.S.) degree in Management with a minor in Project Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. For his undergraduate education, he achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle with a minor in Aviation Safety. He is also an FAA-licensed drone pilot and an entrepreneur. John launched his own start-up business in commercial drone aerial photography, Osprey Drones, LLC. In 2018, his company became an Independent partner with Drone Base. He is an Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans Business Pitch Award Recipient and recently awarded the State of New Jersey American Legion Veteran Breakthrough Startup Business Award for 2018.
